Every order that passes through Platopus is stored in full — not just the headline figures, but the complete event record. When something goes wrong with an order, any member of staff can search for it instantly, however long ago it happened. You'll see the exact second Platopus was notified, when it went into production, when it was marked complete, whether it printed, which items were on it, and what the printout looked like — both the kitchen copy and the customer copy. No guessing, no asking around. The full picture, right there.

The same stored data is what powers Platopus AI. When you ask the AI how last Tuesday compared to the Tuesday before, or which location has been running slowest over the past month, it's drawing from the same complete order history — every order, every channel, every site, back to the day you connected. The more history you accumulate, the more useful the answers become.

Pricing

Each product is billed individually. Monthly charges are pro-rata from the day of activation. Per-hour and per-item usage is billed as logged.

Storage covers everything Platopus holds on your behalf — your order history, your customer records, and the images and videos you upload for your signage screens. Assets can be deleted when you're done with them, but while they're there they count. It's billed simply: per gigabyte stored, per thousand orders, per thousand customers. The costs are small, but we charge for it because keeping years of order data and media assets safe, indexed, and instantly accessible is real infrastructure — and we'd rather be transparent about that than bury it elsewhere.
